Rotary Club Royal organised a grand women’s exhibition at Sanjeevani Palace in Chandausi on 19 October 2026, with the aim of helping women become self-reliant and providing a platform for their skills. The exhibition brought together women entrepreneurs and shopkeepers from Chandausi-Sambhal as well as participants from outside.

The exhibition was inaugurated by Chandausi Nagar Palika Parishad chairperson Lata Varshney, who cut the ribbon in the presence of women office bearers of Rotary Club Royal. The event showcased a wide range of products prepared and displayed by women.

Several stalls were set up at the exhibition and remained a major attraction for visitors. These included stalls offering handicrafts, jewellery, clothes, home decoration items, pickles, papad, bakery items and herbal products.

A special feature of the exhibition was the participation of women from Chandausi-Sambhal along with shopkeepers and women entrepreneurs who had come from outside. Visitors got an opportunity to see a variety of creative products made entirely by the women themselves.

Addressing the gathering at the inauguration, Palika chairperson Lata Varshney said, “रोटरी क्लब रॉयल द्वारा महिला सशक्तिकरण की दिशा में यह एक सराहनीय कदम है। जब महिला आत्मनिर्भर बनती है, तो पूरा परिवार और समाज आत्मनिर्भर बनता है। ऐसी प्रदर्शनियाँ महिलाओं को न केवल आर्थिक रूप से मजबूत करती हैं, बल्कि उन्हें अपनी पहचान बनाने का अवसर भी देती हैं।”

Lata Varshney visited all the stalls and encouraged the women entrepreneurs participating in the exhibition. She also took information about the products displayed at the different stalls.

Members of Rotary Club Royal said that the main purpose of organising the exhibition was to encourage women towards self-employment and provide them with access to a market for their products. They said the event was intended to give women an opportunity to showcase their work and reach more buyers.

A large number of women from the town visited the exhibition and made purchases. Their participation and support encouraged the women entrepreneurs who had put up stalls at the event.

The exhibition was organised by Rotary Club Royal at Sanjeevani Palace, Chandausi. The report was by Rajat Malhotra.
