Renowned poets celebrate Raja Mahendra Pratap Singh university's fifth Foundation Day

Raja Mahendra Pratap Singh State University in Aligarh marked its fifth Foundation Day with a grand poet conference that brought together renowned poets from across the country. The literary gathering, held at the Sheela Gautam Centre for Learning auditorium, captivated audiences with powerful poetic presentations spanning themes of valor, romance, humor, social consciousness, and patriotism.

The poets, each distinguished in their own right, presented compositions in their distinctive styles, exploring a wide array of subjects that left the audience spellbound. The conference transformed the Foundation Day celebrations into a memorable fusion of literary dignity and cultural exuberance.

Poet Sabras Mursani opened his recitation by paying homage to Raja Mahendra Pratap Singh, highlighting the freedom fighter's patriotism and dedication to India's independence through his verses. He recited, "Nahin aisa koi daani, jinki hai ye amar kahaani, desh aazad karne ki thaani, aise raja the Mursani" (There is no other such philanthropist, whose immortal story it is, who resolved to liberate the country, such was the king from Mursani).

Poetess Unnati Bhardwaj gave voice to women's strength and maternal sacrifice in her presentation. She said, "Naari shakti desh ki khatir poorn samarpan karti hai, Pannadhay sarikhi mata putra ko arpan karti hai" (Women power makes complete dedication for the nation, a mother like Pannadhay offers her son in sacrifice).

Poet Kumar Sambhav expressed reverence for motherhood in his emotional presentation, reciting, "Maa ke pairon ko chhu ke chalta hoon, ghar se jab kabhi nikalta hoon" (I walk touching my mother's feet, whenever I leave home).

Poet Manoj Chauhan dedicated his composition to the personality and achievements of Raja Mahendra Pratap Singh. He recited, "Is samay se us samay tak, jo swayam ik daur the, jinke kisse har samay mein vyaapt hain, chahun or the. Is dhara se us gagan tak, drishti mein aata yahi, Raja Mahendra Pratap Singh ji, har daur ke sirmour the" (From this time to that time, who himself was an era, whose tales are prevalent in every age, were everywhere. From this earth to that sky, this is what appears in sight, Raja Mahendra Pratap Singh ji, was the crown jewel of every era).

Dr. Daulatram moved the audience with his verses expressing the feelings of love and separation. He recited, "Na mita naam tera dil se, mitakar dekha, yaad tu aur bhi aaya, jitna bhulakar dekha" (Your name did not fade from my heart, I tried erasing it, I remembered you even more, the more I tried to forget).

Poet Zahid Khan wove the sensations of love into his poetic presentation, saying, "Panghat par paniharin jab-jab paani bharne aati hai, paanv mein payaliya uski prem ka alakh jagaati hai" (Whenever the water-carrier woman comes to fill water at the well, the anklets on her feet awaken the flame of love). He also presented the intensity of love through his other verses.

Humorist poet Padma Albela thoroughly entertained the audience with his humorous and satirical composition. He recited, "Mera budhaapa active hai ekdam, abhi energy bilkul nahin hai kam. Pyaar-mohabbat ke chakkar mein ab bhi rehte hain hum, jaagti-jaagti budhaape mein thodi-si sharm" (My old age is completely active, energy is not at all low right now. We still remain in the pursuit of love and romance, a little shame in this waking old age).

Poetess Dr. Shikha Deepti delivered a message of women's empowerment and resistance against injustice. She declared, "Chandika Kali ka ab avtaar le lo betiyon, nyay karne ka swayam adhikaar le lo betiyon. Raudra dharkar roop, Dushaasan ki aankhein phod do, ab utho, haathon mein hathiyaar le lo betiyon" (Now take the incarnation of Chandika Kali, daughters, take the right to deliver justice yourselves, daughters. Assuming a fierce form, gouge out Dushaasan's eyes, now rise up, take weapons in your hands, daughters).

Dr. Ajay Atal expressed the profound sensations of love through his verses, reciting, "Tum ishq ke dariya mein utar kyon nahin jaate, jeene ki tamanna hai to mar kyon nahin jaate" (Why don't you descend into the river of love, if you have the desire to live then why don't you die).

Professor Vibha Sharma from Aligarh Muslim University was present as the chief guest. She engaged in dialogue with the students, calling upon them to bring honor to the university's name and, giving the example of Bhagat Singh, urged them to read numerous books.

During the poet conference, the audience present in the auditorium enthusiastically enjoyed the presentations of the poets and applauded them through their appreciation. The program infused literary dignity and cultural celebration into the university's Foundation Day commemoration.

On this occasion, the university's Registrar Prabuddh Singh, program coordinator Professor Anjana Kumari, Professor Neeta Varshney, Dr. Shahnawaz Khan, hundreds of students, and teachers from the university were present.
