Rajni Patil Announces Congress Agitation In Himachal Pradesh On November 1

Himachal Pradesh Congress in-charge Rajni Patil visited Bilaspur and attended an organisational meeting at the District Congress Committee office as the chief guest. The meeting was held with Congress office-bearers and workers, and focused on the party’s organisational activities and its upcoming “Vote Save, Country Save” campaign.

Congress office-bearers and workers gave Rajni Patil a warm welcome when she arrived in Bilaspur. After the welcome, she joined the district-level meeting at the party office.

Former cabinet minister Ramlal Thakur, state organisation general secretary Vinod Jinta, district in-charge Ramesh Chauhan, co-in-charge Parasram, state Congress vice-president Bambar Thakur, general secretary Vikas Thakur and district president Anjana Dhiman were present at the meeting.

At the Congress party office, district president Anjana Dhiman honoured Rajni Patil by presenting her with a Himachali cap and a shawl. Office-bearers of the Shri Naina Devi Temple Trust also honoured her by presenting Mata Rani’s chunari and prasad.

Speaking during the visit, Rajni Patil said the Congress party would hold a major agitation on 1 November under its “Vote Save, Country Save” campaign. She said she had come to Bilaspur in connection with the campaign and appealed to Congress workers to ensure that the agitation was successful.

Rajni Patil also spoke about the upcoming Assembly election in Himachal Pradesh. She said only one year was left for the election and that the state’s Chief Minister and president had started preparations for it. She expressed full confidence that the government would be repeated in Himachal Pradesh and that the Congress would form the government again.

On the issue of Cabinet expansion, Rajni Patil said the Congress high command would decide when the Cabinet would be expanded and who would be given a ministerial post. She said she did not want to say anything in this regard.
