Raibareli police bust high-tech car theft gang, arrest three thieves
Raibareli police have busted a high-tech car theft gang and arrested three hardened car thieves who used sophisticated methods to steal vehicles.
According to police, the accused would target cars parked in deserted locations. The gang is alleged to have hacked the security systems of the vehicles before making off with them.
After breaking into the security system, the accused would deactivate the GPS tracking devices installed in the cars and flee with the stolen vehicles, police said.
Following the theft, the gang members would escape using routes with fewer toll plazas to avoid detection, the investigation has revealed.
The action in the case was taken by the city Kotwali police station.
