Rabid dog mauls two children in Shravasti, both airlifted to Lucknow

A rabid dog viciously attacked and mauled two young children in Shravasti district, leaving them bloodied and critically injured before they were referred to Lucknow for emergency treatment.

The animal launched a life-threatening assault on two innocent children identified as Ritu Yadav and Suraj, biting them savagely and inflicting grievous injuries.

Medical officers at the Combined District Hospital in Shravasti assessed their condition as critical and immediately referred both children to Lucknow for advanced care given the seriousness of their wounds.

The incident took place in Nauwa Newada village under Lakhani Beninagar panchayat, which falls within the jurisdiction of Bhinga police station area.

The rabid dog continues to roam freely in the locality, spreading widespread terror and panic among villagers who now fear for their safety and that of their families.

Local residents have urgently demanded that the administration launch an immediate drive to capture the dangerous animal before it attacks again.
