President Murmu’s Naina Devi Temple Visit Cancelled, Programme Limited to AIIMS Bilaspur

President Droupadi Murmu’s proposed visit to Bilaspur, Himachal Pradesh, on 6 October has been revised. Her scheduled visit to the Shri Naina Devi Ji Temple has been cancelled, and the President’s programme will now remain limited to AIIMS Bilaspur and its first convocation ceremony.

According to the revised programme, President Droupadi Murmu will arrive at the helipad built on the AIIMS Bilaspur campus at 10:35 in the morning on 6 October. Around 10 minutes later, at 10:45, the first convocation ceremony of AIIMS will begin.

The ceremony is scheduled to continue for around 50 minutes. The President will attend it as the chief guest, address the students and award degrees to them. The convocation ceremony is scheduled to conclude at around 11:35.

After the ceremony, the President is scheduled to leave for Manali. Under the revised programme, there will be no visit by the President to Shri Naina Devi Ji Temple for darshan and पूजा-अर्चना. Her Bilaspur visit on 6 October will be confined to the first convocation ceremony at AIIMS Bilaspur.

The revised schedule has been finalised by the President’s Office and the information has been conveyed to the AIIMS administration. Following this, the AIIMS management has started preparations according to the new programme.

Arrangements are also being coordinated continuously with district administrative officials and security agencies. These include the President’s detailed security arrangements, the grand decoration of the programme venue, and arrangements for the routes to be used for her arrival and departure.

With the change in schedule, the focus of the administration and AIIMS management is now entirely on ensuring arrangements for the President’s participation in the first convocation ceremony.
