Preparations for the Sharadiya Navratri celebrations at the world-renowned Shaktipeeth Shri Naina Devi Temple in Bilaspur, Himachal Pradesh, have been completed. The nine-day festival is scheduled to begin on 11 October. Keeping in mind the convenience and safety of devotees expected to visit the temple, the district administration and the temple trust have completed all necessary arrangements.

The decoration work at the temple complex is also almost complete. The Mata’s darbar has been decorated with flowers, colourful lights and decorative light strings. This year, the decoration is being carried out by a social service organisation from Karnal in Haryana.

More than 20 artisans associated with the organisation are working on the decoration of the temple. Along with colourful flowers and attractive lighting, foreign flowers have also been used for decorating the temple complex. Flowers have been brought from Australia and Thailand for the occasion.

Because of the elaborate decoration, the temple is expected to remain a major attraction for devotees during the Sharadiya Navratri celebrations. The decorated darbar and the lighting arrangements are being prepared as part of the overall arrangements for the festival.

Dharampal, chairman of the temple trust and SDM, told journalists that all necessary arrangements had been made by the temple trust for Navratri. He said special arrangements had been put in place so that devotees do not face any difficulty while having darshan of Mata.

Local priest Brijesh Kumar Sharma also said that all preparations by the temple trust had been completed. He said the temple would remain open for 22 hours during Navratri to make it convenient for devotees to visit and offer prayers.

The temple will remain closed only from 12 midnight to 2 am. During these two hours, cleaning and shringar work will be carried out. Devotees will be allowed to have darshan of Mata Rani only while standing in queues.

Brijesh Kumar Sharma appealed to devotees to visit Mata’s darbar during the Sharadiya Navratri, offer prayers and seek the blessings of Mata Rani. The arrangements have been made to regulate the movement of devotees and ensure that darshan takes place in an orderly manner.

Bilaspur District Magistrate Rahul Kumar has also appealed to devotees to follow the instructions issued by the police and administration during darshan. He asked people not to pay attention to any kind of rumour.

Rahul Kumar urged devotees to stand in queues and have darshan of Mata peacefully. He also appealed to them to pray for the happiness and prosperity of their families.
