Officials inspect ancient temple ahead of Kajri Teej and Kanwar Yatra festivals

District Magistrate Annpurna Garg and Superintendent of Police Rahul Bhati conducted a comprehensive security inspection of the ancient Baba Vibhuti Nath temple on September 11, 2026, in preparation for the upcoming Kajri Teej festival and Kanwar Yatra. The joint inspection aimed to ensure that both religious events are conducted peacefully, safely and harmoniously.

The Baba Vibhuti Nath temple, a structure dating back to the Pandava era, is located within the jurisdiction of Sirsiya police station. The senior officials visited the temple premises to review security arrangements and preparedness for the anticipated influx of devotees during the festivals.

During the inspection, the District Magistrate and the Superintendent of Police issued detailed instructions to officers and staff on multiple aspects of event management. The directives covered security arrangements, crowd management, traffic control, safety measures for women, and the need for heightened vigilance at sensitive points. Special emphasis was placed on maintaining active foot patrols, drone surveillance, and ensuring that CCTV cameras remain operational throughout the festival period.

Following the initial briefing, the officials conducted a thorough on-ground inspection of critical infrastructure. They examined the approach and exit routes to the fair, parking areas, shop and pandal zones, and the main pathways where devotees would be moving. This physical survey allowed them to assess security preparedness in detail.

The District Magistrate and Superintendent of Police also held discussions with the temple manager, the Mahant, and other locally responsible persons. These stakeholders were directed to extend full cooperation to the administration in matters concerning peace and order, cleanliness, and facilities for devotees.

Present during the inspection were Chief Development Officer Shahid Ahmad, Additional Superintendent of Police Chandrakesh Singh, Area Magistrate Bhinga Bharat Paswan, along with other officers and staff members.

The administration and police emphasized that their primary objective is to ensure that the Kajri Teej festival and Kanwar Yatra are completed successfully while keeping in mind the faith, security and convenience of the devotees.
