UGC NET June 2026: NTA Opens Portal for PwD Candidates to Submit Scribe Details
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has activated an online portal for eligible Persons with Disabilities (PwD) and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) candidates to register their scribe details for the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) June 2026. This facility is available on the official UGC NET website, as per a public notice issued on June 18, 2026.
The UGC NET June 2026 examination is scheduled to take place across various centres in India on the following dates: June 22, 23, 24, 25, 29, and 30, 2026. Candidates have already been informed about their exam city and date through the Advance City Intimation Slip, and admit cards have also been issued.
Eligible PwD and PwBD candidates who wish to avail the scribe facility must submit their details between June 18, 2026, and June 20, 2026, by 5 PM. NTA has urged candidates to adhere to this timeline to avoid any last-minute issues.
To register scribe details, candidates should follow these steps:
1. Visit the official UGC NET website.
2. Log in using their application credentials.
3. Click on the "Register Scribe Details" option on the candidate homepage.
4. Select the scribe option and enter the required information.
5. Submit the details carefully.
Once submitted, the information will be visible in the "View Application Form" section and on the confirmation page.
NTA has clarified that the "Register Scribe Details" option will only be accessible to eligible PwD and PwBD candidates entitled to this facility. Candidates are advised to verify all details before submission, as the information provided will be used during the examination process.
