National Lok Adalat in Hamirpur on September 12 to resolve disputes quickly

A National Lok Adalat will be organised in Hamirpur district on September 12, Civil Judge Senior Division Vandana Agrawal informed the media.

The Lok Adalat will be conducted under the supervision of District Judge Manoj Kumar Rai. Agrawal urged litigants to take advantage of this golden opportunity to get justice on the spot, saying that the Lok Adalat would save both time and money for those involved in disputes. The secretary emphasised that both time and money would be saved through the Lok Adalat proceedings.

The Lok Adalat will settle a wide range of cases including family matters, matrimonial disputes, civil cases, revenue matters, electricity and water bill disputes, and cheque bounce cases. Motor accident compensation claims and compoundable offences will also be disposed of during the proceedings. Even pre-litigation stage disputes that are amenable to settlement will be resolved through mutual conciliation.

The Lok Adalat benches will sit not only at the District Judge meeting hall but also at three other locations in the district, Rath, Maudaha, and Sarila, to ensure wider access to justice for litigants across Hamirpur.
