Muzaffarnagar laborer alleges assault, robbery and knife attack by youth in complaint to police

A laborer from Muzaffarnagar district has accused a village youth of assaulting him, robbing 5,000 rupees, and attacking his son with a knife. The victim has submitted a written complaint to the Senior Superintendent of Police demanding that a case be registered against the accused and strict action be taken.

Dhanpal alias Dhannu, son of Beerbal, works as a laborer in Mubarikpur village in Baghpat district. On 6 September 2026, he was waiting for a bus near Umarpur Chowki to return to work. During this time, Ankit, son of Harpal, a resident of the same village, offered to drop him at Budhana in his car and took him along.

According to the allegations, on the way Ankit took the car to a deserted spot on the Madinapur-Umarpur road and assaulted Dhanpal with a stick. During this incident, he sustained injuries to his hands and legs, and the accused allegedly snatched 5,000 rupees that he had with him. According to the victim, after the beating, the accused put him in the car and took him towards Shahpur.

The complaint states that in Shahpur, Dhanpal's son Deepak saw his father in the car and stopped the vehicle. It is alleged that when Deepak asked the accused to let his father out, the accused also assaulted Deepak with a stick. When people from the area arrived, the accused fled from the spot.

The victim alleges that the same evening at around 6:30 pm, the accused stopped Deepak in front of his house, assaulted him, and attacked him with a knife. Additionally, he threatened both father and son with death. The victim has also accused the accused of constantly demanding money and threatening them by claiming to have connections with police and politicians.

According to Dhanpal, a complaint about the matter was made on helpline 1076 as well as at Budhana police station, but no action has been taken so far. The victim's family has demanded from the SSP that a report be registered against the accused and that they be provided security along with strict legal action.

Dhanpal is a resident of village Umarpur in the Budhana police station area of Muzaffarnagar district. The alleged incident took place on the Madinapur-Umarpur road and later in Shahpur.
