Mission Safe Future 2.0 launched to enhance schoolchildren's road safety

A special initiative under the 'Mission Safe Future 2.0' campaign was launched at the RTO office in Shravasti to curb road accidents and ensure the safety of schoolchildren. The campaign included vehicle fitness checks and eye and health screening camps for drivers.

The RTO premises witnessed heightened activity as school bus and vehicle drivers from several schools arrived for inspections. The campaign aims to ensure the safe transportation of children between their homes and schools. A dedicated medical team from the district hospital, led by ophthalmologist Dr. Phanindra Kumar Tiwari, conducted thorough eye and general health examinations of the drivers.

During the checks, drivers were advised on the importance of adhering to traffic rules and safe driving practices, especially at night. The initiative reflects a proactive approach to addressing safety concerns and promoting responsible driving habits among those tasked with transporting children daily.

Such measures are critical in reducing road accidents and safeguarding the lives of young students. The campaign underscores the importance of regular health and fitness checks for drivers, ensuring they are physically capable of handling the responsibility of safe driving.
