Mela Ganesh Chauth 2026 expands with competitions for all ages and talents

Preparations are in full swing to make the renowned Mela Ganesh Chauth 2026 in Chandausi, Sambhal, a grand and spectacular celebration. At the Mela office located at Ganesh Mandir, event coordinator Prajeet Kumar Lalu and competition coordinator Major Shashikant Gupta led the poster launch for various programs and competitions planned for the fair.

This year, organizers are positioning the fair as a mega platform for talent, offering opportunities for children, youth, women, persons with disabilities, and local artists to showcase their skills. The event will feature a wide array of competitions including rangoli, fancy dress, painting, carrom, chess, tug-of-war, kite flying, mehndi, mimicry, singing, dancing, antakshari, youth model, cake decoration, solo singing, group singing, audio lipsync, and shaan-e-ghazal. Additional attractions include a youth poetry session, baby health show, patriotic tributes, a program honoring persons with disabilities, comedy poetry, Bollywood star night, and qawwali performances.

Event coordinator Prajeet Kumar Lalu emphasized that Mela Ganesh Chauth is not only a celebration of religious faith but also a festival showcasing the art, culture, and talent of Chandausi. He noted that the platform has been expanded this year to honor and recognize local talent, adding that several gifted individuals from Chandausi have already made their mark on major stages across the country, including Mumbai. Competition coordinator Major Shashikant Gupta explained that the competitions aim to discover hidden talent in the region and provide them with a platform, fostering creativity among children and confidence among youth.

Media in-charge Shubham Agarwal confirmed that coordinators and collaborators have been appointed by the Shri Ganesh Mela Parishad (registered), Chandausi, for all events, and preparations are progressing rapidly. The 66th Ganpati Janmotsav will serve as a major platform for Chandausi's talent, culture, and art. Advocate Lokendra Sharma, Satendra Mama, Prabhat Krishna, Phool Kumar, Ranjit Lalu, Shashikant Gupta, and Shubham Agarwal were present at the launch.
