Man's throat slashed on road in Shravasti, cause remains mysterious

A youth walking home from Katra bazaar on Wednesday evening suffered a deep throat injury under mysterious circumstances on the Katra-Mathura road in Shravasti district, leaving him critically wounded.

Babbu, son of Raghav Ram, aged 30, a resident of Bagaha village under Naveen Modern police station limits, had visited Katra bazaar for some work on Wednesday. He was returning home on foot late in the evening when his throat was suddenly cut on the Katra-Mathura road for unknown reasons. The injury left him critically wounded and he collapsed on the road.

People nearby informed his family members, who rushed to the spot and transported the injured youth to CHC Ikauna in a private vehicle, where he is currently undergoing treatment.

The circumstances under which the youth's throat was cut remain unclear. Police have not yet established the cause behind the incident that left the 30-year-old from Bagaha village fighting for his life. The mysterious nature of the attack has raised questions about what exactly transpired on the road as Babbu made his way home that evening.
