Man dies after falling into unfenced open drain in East Delhi

A young man died after falling into an open drain in Kanti Nagar area of East Delhi on Monday, police said. The victim, identified as Naseem, was reportedly in an inebriated state when he fell into the drain and drowned.

Local police reached the spot after being alerted and recovered the body from the drain. The body has been taken into custody and an investigation has been launched into the incident. Police are examining the circumstances that led to the tragedy and whether any negligence was involved.
