In Madhya Pradesh, people will have an opportunity to get new and left-out names added to the voter list until 10 October 2026. A special campaign is being conducted for this purpose on the instructions of the Election Commission of India.
Young people who will complete 18 years of age on 1 January 2027 will also be eligible to apply under the campaign. They can submit their applications through Form-6.
Applications can be filed through the ECINET app, the Voters Portal or through the BLO. Along with polling centres, camps will also be organised at schools, colleges and technical institutions to facilitate the process.
According to the Commission, the SIR process has been completed. Applications for adding names to the voter list and making corrections are now being accepted under the Continuous Update process.
Citizens who are becoming voters for the first time can fill Form-6 to get their names added to the list. Eligible citizens whose names were left out of the voter list for any reason can also apply through the same form.
For corrections in the existing voter list, Form-8 can be used. The Commission has said that at this stage, applicants do not need to submit the SIR declaration form along with Form-6 and Form-8.
