KK Mishra Takes Satirical Swipe Over Rs 40,000 Crore Scindia Property Dispute

The dispute over property belonging to the Scindia family, estimated at around Rs 40,000 crore, has drawn a sharp response from senior Madhya Pradesh Congress leader KK Mishra. In a social media post, Mishra took a satirical swipe at the government over the allegations and claims linked to the family dispute, and raised several questions in a mocking tone.
Mishra referred to the Hindi saying, “चोर चोरी से जाए, हेराफेरी से न जाए”. He wrote that a person may give up the method of stealing, but does not give up his nature, deceitfulness or cleverness.
Referring to the property dispute, Mishra wrote in his post that something similar could be seen in the court proceedings related to the Scindia family’s property in Gwalior, valued at around Rs 40,000 crore. He claimed that Pratima Devi, the daughter of “बड़ी बुआ पष्चावती जी”, had alleged that signatures were obtained on documents through deception.
These allegations and claims have been made by the parties connected with the dispute. Their independent verification, as well as the final conclusion of the court, is a separate matter.
Mishra also used historical and political references in his post while targeting the issue of “बुआ”. He referred to the 1857 freedom fighter Rani Lakshmibai and the political developments that took place in Madhya Pradesh in 2020.
In this context, he wrote that the reason behind betrayal from power was only “धन और महत्वाकांक्षा”. He also posed the question, “अब ‘बुआ’?”
The sharpest part of Mishra’s post was his sarcastic appeal to the government. He wrote that “धनाढ्य के अतिभूखे इन गरीब-धोखेबाज भाई साहब” should be included in the BPL list. He also demanded that a house be provided to him under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.
Along with this, Mishra raised another demand concerning land allegedly taken over in the names of fake trusts. He wrote, “फर्जी ट्रस्टों के नाम से हड़पी गई अरबों की जमीन किसकी है, जांच होनी चाहिए”.
The family dispute over Scindia properties now appears to have moved beyond the courtroom and into the political arena as well. Mishra’s social media post, the allegations mentioned in it and his demands from the government have once again brought the matter into political discussion.
However, the final position on the allegations related to the property, documents, trusts and the signatures said to have been obtained through deception will become clear only through the judicial process and the documents concerned.
