KK Mishra Seeks Amit Shah's Intervention Over Madhya Pradesh Law And Order

Congress leader KK Mishra has raised questions over the law and order situation in Madhya Pradesh and urged Union Home Minister Amit Shah to intervene in the matter during his visit to Bhopal.

Mishra made the demand through a social media post as Amit Shah is scheduled to visit Bhopal. In his post, he said that questions were being raised over law and order in the state capital at a time when the Union Home Minister was arriving there.

Mishra referred to the murder of retired IAS officer Rakesh Agrawal and said that even 50 hours after the incident, the killers remained “unafraid”. He also said that elderly people were apprehensive about their safety.

The Congress leader cited letters being written to the Chief Minister and used them to raise questions about the law and order situation in Bhopal. He asked Amit Shah to provide the necessary intervention and directions to the state police to strengthen law and order in Madhya Pradesh.

Amit Shah is reaching Bhopal on the night of October 2. On October 3, he will take part in a state-level exhibition on the new criminal laws, a Gopalak conference and programmes related to home and internal security.

Mishra’s demand comes in the context of the Rakesh Agrawal murder case and his questions about the police and the broader law and order situation in Bhopal.
