On the auspicious occasion of Nag Panchami coinciding with the third Monday of the holy month of Sawan, devotees visiting the Kashi Vishwanath Temple in Varanasi will witness Lord Shiva in his divine Ardhanarishwar form. Special arrangements have been made for the ceremonial decoration of the idol in the sanctum sanctorum, followed by a grand aarti. Devotees will be able to view these unique adornments until the Shayan Aarti later in the evening.
The temple administration has implemented extensive measures to manage the increasing number of visitors. Except for the Ganga Gate, all other entry and exit points will be operational to ensure smooth movement. Special arrangements have also been made for Kanwariyas arriving from Prayagraj with Ganga water for the ritualistic Jalabhishek.
To ensure safety and order, additional police personnel have been deployed at the temple premises, ghats, and key routes. Female police officers have been stationed in greater numbers to provide security and assistance to women devotees. The administration is preparing for a larger crowd than usual, as over six lakh devotees visited the temple during the Independence Day weekend for darshan and Jalabhishek.
For the convenience of visitors, amenities such as drinking water, shaded areas, air coolers, medical assistance centers, free ambulance services, and LED screens have been arranged. Adding to the festive spirit, flower showers from helicopters will greet Kanwariyas and devotees, making this celebration even more memorable.
