Lawyers reached the Superintendent of Police’s office in Kanpur Dehat today to protest a case registered against advocates at Shivli police station. The lawyers said the case was false and demanded an impartial investigation and appropriate action.

The delegation was led by the Akbarpur Advocates Committee and the Lawyers Association Maitha. The lawyers met the Superintendent of Police at the office located at the Mati headquarters in Kanpur Dehat and submitted a written representation.

The delegation was led by Bipin Chandra Dixit, president of the Akbarpur Advocates Committee, and Rajesh Rajput, president of the Lawyers Association Maitha.

The lawyers alleged that, in the Shivli police station area, a powerful village head, along with his associates, had assaulted an advocate and his brother. According to the lawyers, the police had registered a case after a complaint was made in connection with that incident.

The lawyers further alleged that, because of political pressure, a case had now also been registered against the same advocate and his brother. They described this case as completely false and said that the action taken against them was wrong.

The lawyers demanded that the entire matter be investigated impartially. They also sought appropriate action after the investigation.

The delegation raised its concerns during the meeting with the Superintendent of Police and submitted its application for consideration. The lawyers maintained that the case registered against the advocate and his brother should be examined fairly, along with the earlier complaint related to the alleged assault.

The report includes statements from Advocate Bipin Chandra Dixit, president of the Akbarpur Advocates Committee, and Advocate Rajesh Rajput, president of the Lawyers Association Maitha.
