Job placement fraud case in Gonda leaves family with six lakh rupee loss

A job placement fraud case involving over 10 lakh rupees has surfaced in Gonda district, where two accused persons remain at large even after an FIR has been registered against them. The victim has also alleged police complicity in the matter.

Riyaz Ahmad Siddiqui, a resident of Patel Nagar, has accused Karan Verma and Anoop Kumar Pandey of cheating his family members with false promises of government jobs. According to the complaint, the two accused promised to secure positions for Siddiqui's brothers in the Health Department and Jal Nigam, and for his sister in the Education Department.

The accused collected a total of 10 lakh 25 thousand rupees from the family on different dates. When the promised jobs did not materialise, the documents provided by the accused were found to be forged. When Siddiqui demanded his money back, the accused allegedly threatened him.

The accused have returned 4 lakh 2 thousand 500 rupees so far, but 6 lakh 22 thousand 500 rupees remain outstanding. Kotwali Nagar police have registered a case against both the accused.

However, the victim has alleged that no arrests have been made due to collusion between the accused and the police. Police officials state that they are investigating the matter.
