ISRO scientists inspire 500 students with India's space exploration vision at Lucknow school

ISRO scientists visited City Montessori School in Gomti Nagar, Lucknow, on National Space Day to inspire over 500 students with insights into India's space exploration journey. The special event brought senior scientists from ISRO and ISTRAC face-to-face with young minds eager to learn about the country's astronomical ambitions, from the historic Chandrayaan-3 success to upcoming missions that promise to redefine India's position in space.

The scientists shared detailed accounts of Chandrayaan-3's landmark achievements and outlined India's ambitious roadmap for the future. They highlighted major upcoming missions including Gaganyaan, India's first manned spaceflight program, and the planned Indian Space Station, describing these as the next giant leaps in the nation's scientific progress. M.R. Raghavendra, Director of ISTRAC, urged students to think beyond conventional boundaries and treat the impossible as possible, encouraging them to push past traditional limits in space exploration.

Professor Geeta Gandhi Kingdon, Managing Director of CMS, took pride in celebrating India's space accomplishments while specifically mentioning CMS student Shubhanshu Shukla's space journey as a matter of immense honour for the institution. The event created an interactive platform where students actively engaged with the scientists, asking probing questions about various space missions and ongoing research initiatives.

The celebration extended beyond lectures, incorporating quiz competitions, drawing contests, and model-making activities that allowed students to demonstrate their scientific thinking and creativity.
