Inquiry sought into proposed Ragini dance programme at Kisan Inter College

Questions have been raised over preparations for a proposed Ragini and Musical Dance programme on the premises of Kisan Inter College in Thanabhawan, Shamli, during a fair being held in the Nagar Panchayat Thanabhawan area. A letter has been sent to the District Inspector of Schools, seeking an inquiry into the actual status of the programme, its organiser and the permissions related to the event, along with necessary action.

The letter states that Kisan Inter College is an educational institution. It says that before any public entertainment or cultural programme is organised on school premises, the nature of the event, the permissions required and its compliance with rules must be made clear.

The complainant has also requested an inquiry into whether permission for the programme was obtained from the school management and the concerned officials. The complaint seeks verification of whether the proposed Ragini and Musical Dance programme is actually being organised on the college premises.

It has further been demanded that information be collected about the organiser of the programme and the role of Nagar Panchayat Thanabhawan. The authorities have also been asked to check whether all necessary permissions for the event have been obtained.

According to the letter, if the programme is found to be against the rules, organised without permission or contrary to the dignity of the school premises, permission for holding it should not be granted. It has also sought action as per the rules in such a situation.

The letter further raises the issue of arrangements at the college premises if the programme is held there. It demands that necessary measures be ensured for the safety of students, women and the general public, as well as for maintaining law and order during the event.
