Hathras Administration Recovers 200 Government Rice Sacks In Suspected Diversion Bid

An attempt to divert government rice for illegal black marketing was foiled in the Sasni area of Hathras late Tuesday evening, with the administration recovering 200 sacks of rice. The action was carried out after the rice was found being loaded from a truck into a tractor.

The operation was conducted by Sub-Divisional Magistrate Shiv Narayan Yadav and the Supply Inspector, who reached the spot along with police personnel after receiving information that government rice was being illegally transported to another location.

During the inspection, the administrative team caught the 200 sacks of government rice that were being shifted from the truck to the tractor. However, the tractor driver managed to flee from the spot during the action.

The recovery has caused concern among those allegedly involved in the black marketing of government foodgrains. The administration has begun efforts to identify the tractor owner and determine the actual owner of the rice.

Following the action, the recovered rice was handed over to a ration dealer in Sathiya village. The administration is now working to establish how the government rice was being moved and who was responsible for the attempted diversion.

Officials are preparing to identify all those involved in the matter and have cases registered against them. Strict legal action is also being planned against the people found connected with the incident.

The administrative action is being viewed as an important step towards checking the black marketing of government ration. The recovery of the 200 sacks has also brought attention to the movement of government rice from the truck to the tractor and the role of those who arranged its transportation.
