The Bharatiya Kisan Union (Bhanu) has demanded the immediate arrest of those allegedly involved in the black marketing of government rice in Sasni tehsil of Hathras district. The demand comes two days after the administration reportedly caught a tractor loaded with government rice, but no accused has been arrested so far.

The lack of arrests has angered the organisation. Thakur Ram Jadaun, national secretary of the Bharatiya Kisan Union (Bhanu), has raised the issue through a video message and sought early action from the Hathras district administration.

Thakur Ram Jadaun said government ration is meant for poor and needy people. He said the alleged black marketing of grain meant for the poor was a serious matter and that strict action should be taken against everyone involved in it.

He demanded that the administration ensure an impartial investigation into the matter. He also called for those found guilty to be arrested soon and sent to jail.

According to the national secretary, the fact that no arrest has been made even two days after the tractor was caught is a matter of concern. He questioned the delay in taking action in a case involving government rice and grain meant for poor people.

Thakur Ram Jadaun warned that if action is not taken soon, the Bharatiya Kisan Union (Bhanu) will hold a major sit-in protest and demonstration at the Sasni tehsil under its banner. He said the responsibility for any such step would lie with the government and the administration.

The organisation has said that it will continue to raise its voice against the black marketing of government ration and the alleged violation of the rights of poor people. Thakur Ram Jadaun made it clear that the union would not step back until action is taken against those found responsible.

The matter concerns the alleged black marketing of government rice in Sasni, where the administration had caught a tractor carrying the rice two days earlier. The union has now pressed the district administration to complete the investigation and take action without further delay.
