Handaur residents mark Eid Milladunnabi with grand procession under police watch

A grand procession was held in Handaur on Wednesday to mark Eid Milladunnabi, also known as Barawafat, with members of the Muslim community celebrating the occasion with religious fervor and enthusiasm. The procession, which saw large participation from devotees, wound through several localities before culminating at its final destination under police supervision.

The procession began from Handaur Churiharapatti and passed through Sheikhpur and Rahimakuli before reaching Sagra Sundarpur on the Laxmanpur Road. A significant number of pilgrims joined the march, raising religious slogans as they proceeded along the route. The atmosphere remained spirited throughout, with residents welcoming the procession at various points along the way, adding to the festive mood that prevailed across the entire stretch.

Security arrangements were put in place to ensure the event passed off peacefully. Police personnel were deployed along the entire route and maintained close surveillance throughout the procession.
