Gwalior Inspector Removed After Rape Case Over Alleged Marriage Promise

Police action has begun against Inspector Rupesh Sharma after a case was registered over allegations of rape on the pretext of marriage. The inspector, who was posted at the Police Training School in Tighra, Gwalior, has been removed from there and attached to the Police Headquarters (PHQ).

According to the source material, the police department has also started a departmental inquiry against Inspector Rupesh Sharma. Along with this, the process for his suspension has also been initiated.

The case is based on a complaint filed by the victim woman. In her complaint to the police, the woman alleged that she became friends with Inspector Rupesh Sharma through Facebook. She claimed that the inspector told her he was unmarried and assured her that he would marry her.

The woman alleged that, on the basis of this assurance of marriage, the inspector established relations with her. She further alleged that later she came to know that Inspector Rupesh Sharma was already married.

According to the complaint, when the woman questioned him about this, she was also threatened. These allegations led to the registration of a case against the inspector.

After the case was registered, the police department started action against him. As part of this action, he was removed from PTS Tighra and attached to PHQ. The departmental inquiry is now being carried forward, and the process related to suspension has also been started.

The investigation will now have to establish what facts and evidence support the allegations made by the woman. The full picture in the matter will become clear only after the police departmental inquiry and the investigation into the criminal case are completed.

For now, the action taken includes removal from Police Training School Tighra, attachment to Police Headquarters, the start of departmental proceedings, and the initiation of the suspension process against Inspector Rupesh Sharma.
