Guru Purnima celebration in Unnao honors teachers' contributions to society

A grand Guru Purnima celebration was held at the camp office of Unnao Sadar MLA Pankaj Gupta in Moti Nagar, Unnao, honoring the invaluable contributions of teachers to education, culture, and society. The event saw several educators being felicitated with ceremonial shawls and mementos, reflecting the deep respect and reverence for the guru-shishya tradition in Indian culture.

MLA Pankaj Gupta paid homage to the attending teachers by touching their feet and seeking their blessings. Addressing the gathering, he emphasized the unparalleled role of gurus in shaping lives and imparting knowledge, values, and direction. "In Indian culture, the guru holds the highest position. Respect, dedication, and gratitude toward our teachers are treasures that must be preserved and passed down through generations," Gupta remarked.

BJP district president Anurag Awasthi highlighted the pivotal role of teachers in nation-building, stating, "Guidance from gurus not only leads individuals to personal success but also enables them to contribute significantly to the country's progress." Former district president Anand Awasthi added that Guru Purnima is not merely a religious occasion but a heartfelt opportunity to express gratitude and devotion to one’s mentors. He urged everyone to embrace the ideals of the guru-shishya tradition and follow the path shown by their teachers.

The event, conducted by Vishwanath Tiwari 'Vish', was attended by a large number of teachers, educators, social workers, and dignitaries, including Vivek Tiwari, Bharat Chitranshi, Krishna Shankar Mishra, Pradeep Dwivedi, Brijesh Pandey, Dinesh Gupta, Alok Kumar Nigam, and Smt. Phoolmati. The ceremony concluded with a heartfelt Guru Vandana and expressions of gratitude toward all the teachers present.
