Ghaziabad Police Commissioner reviews crime control strategy ahead of festivals and BRICS Summit

Ghaziabad Police Commissioner J Ravindra Gaude chaired an important review meeting at the police office meeting hall to discuss crime control, law and order, and preparations for upcoming festivals.

The meeting, held at Police Commissionerate Ghaziabad, saw detailed discussions on the 18th BRICS Summit-2026 proposed in Delhi and law and order arrangements for the upcoming Ganesh Chaturthi and Sharadiya Navratri festivals. The Police Commissioner gave necessary directions to officers to make crime control and policing more effective.

The meeting was attended by Additional Police Commissioner Headquarters and Crime, Additional Police Commissioner Law and Order and Traffic, all Zonal Deputy Commissioners of Police, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Crime, all Circle Assistant Commissioners of Police, Assistant Commissioner of Police Women Crime, Crime and Pragya, along with other senior officers.

A review of comparative crimes and preventive actions over the past two years was conducted. The implementation of previously issued directions and prepared action plans for effective prevention of incidents such as robbery, snatching, vehicle theft, burglary and house-breaking was reviewed.

Directions were given for quick and quality disposal of pending investigations. A review was conducted of the disposal status within 60 days and 90 days from January 1, 2026 to August 31, 2026 as displayed on the CCTNS portal timeline dashboard. Actions taken under Section 129 and 152 BNSS were also reviewed.

A review was conducted of the verification of listed criminals within the prescribed time period on the Yaksh app and surveillance of history-sheeters, and concerned officers were directed to ensure effective supervision.

The progress of disposal under departmental proceedings Rule 14(1) and preliminary inquiry was reviewed. Surprise inspections conducted by gazetted officers in their home jurisdiction were also reviewed.

Reviewing police preparations for law and order, security and traffic arrangements in view of the upcoming Ganesh Chaturthi and Sharadiya Navratri, all officers were directed to perform their duties with vigilance and maintain a peaceful and harmonious atmosphere during religious events.

Detailed discussions were also held regarding law and order and security arrangements in Ghaziabad in view of the 18th BRICS Summit-2026 to be organized in the national capital Delhi.

The Police Commissioner gave clear directions to officers that vigilance and effective policing should be ensured at all levels in view of crime control, law and order and upcoming events, and all necessary arrangements should be completed in time to deal with any challenge.
