Gautam Buddh Nagar Police Celebrates Independence Day with Honors and Oaths

On the occasion of India’s 80th Independence Day, Gautam Buddh Nagar Police Commissioner Laxmi Singh led celebrations at the Police Lines in Gautam Buddh Nagar. She hoisted the national flag and administered an oath to police personnel, urging them to uphold the nation’s unity, integrity, and sovereignty while contributing to a stronger and prosperous India.

The event was marked by the felicitation of officers and staff for their exemplary service and bravery. Commissioner Singh presented awards including the Director General of Police (DGP) Excellence Service Medal, Commendation Disc, and certificates of appreciation to deserving personnel. Families of five martyred police officers were also specially invited and honored for their sacrifices, with the Commissioner assuring them of unwavering support from the police department.

The Independence Day program was celebrated with great enthusiasm and dignity across the Gautam Buddh Nagar Police Commissionerate. Additional Police Commissioner (Law and Order) Dr. Rajeev Narayan Mishra hoisted the flag at the Commissioner’s office in Sector 108, while Deputy Commissioner of Police (Central Noida) Shailendra Kumar Singh led the flag-hoisting ceremony at the Commissionerate headquarters in Surajpur.

During her address, Commissioner Singh paid tribute to the sacrifices of India’s martyrs and called on police personnel to remain committed to their duties with integrity. She emphasized the importance of strengthening the country’s security and honor while working towards fulfilling the dreams of those who laid down their lives for the nation.

The event concluded with the distribution of sweets and refreshments to all attendees, including police officials and the public. Flag-hoisting ceremonies were also held at all police stations and offices under the Commissionerate, accompanied by the singing of the national anthem and patriotic songs. Station in-charges encouraged their teams to pledge their dedication to protecting the nation’s unity and sovereignty.
