BSF Celebrates 80th Independence Day with Ceremony in Shrawasti

The 80th Independence Day was celebrated with great pomp and national pride by the 62nd Battalion of the Border Security Force (BSF) in Bhinaga, Shrawasti. The event marked a significant moment for India's border security forces as they honored their country on this special day.

Commandant Amarendra Kumar Varun led the ceremony at the battalion headquarters. He began with the flag hoisting and national anthem before addressing his troops. During his speech, he urged all soldiers to fully dedicate themselves to maintaining national unity and integrity. The Commandant also paid tribute to the brave heroes of freedom struggle and immortal martyrs whose sacrifice inspired them.

The message from the Director General BSF was delivered next during the program. Outstanding contributions in service were recognized by awarding merit letters to deserving personnel. This recognition highlighted their dedication towards duty and national security efforts across various sectors.

Border posts along India-Nepal border also saw dignified flag hoisting ceremonies conducted by stationed soldiers. They saluted the tricolor while reaffirming their commitment to serving the nation faithfully at critical frontier locations.

A warm interaction took place between BSF personnel and Nepal Armed Police Force (APF) as well as Nepali police officers present on the border. Festive sweets were shared during this meeting, strengthening bonds of friendship and cooperation between security forces from both nations. This initiative emphasized mutual trust in regional peacekeeping endeavors.

At the end of the event, all officials reiterated their pledge to safeguard national honor through dedicated service. The entire battalion area remained filled with patriotic sentiments throughout the celebrations.
