Ganesh Mahotsav fervor grips Bahraich district with grand pandal celebrations

Devotees across Bahraich district are immersed in the fervor of Ganesh Mahotsav, with the chant of "Ganpati Bappa Morya" reverberating through the atmosphere as the eleven-day festival unfolds with devotion and enthusiasm. The entire district, from urban centers to rural pockets, has been transformed into a spiritual landscape adorned with elaborately decorated Ganesh pandals where devotees are gathering in large numbers for darshan of Lord Ganesha.

An atmosphere of faith and celebration has gripped Bahraich district as Ganesh Mahotsav celebrations continue with great vigor. The morning and evening rituals of worship and aarti are being conducted at pandals set up across the region, creating a devotional ambiance throughout. In Bahraich city, grand celebrations are underway in multiple localities including Brahminipura, Kazikatraa, Guddi, Kila, Nawagadhi, Ghasiyari Pura, Medical College, Bashirganj Dhobi Tola, and Bakshipura, where elaborate arrangements have been made for the festivities.

At the Makheshwar Mahadev Temple located in Kazikatraa area of Bahraich city, the Shripalki Ganesh Puja Mahotsav witnessed a mesmerizing cultural program on Sunday. Metro Dance Academy organized a special presentation featuring devotional songs, music, and dance performances dedicated to Lord Ganesha. The artists presented captivating performances set to hymns and devotional compositions in praise of Bhagwan Ganesh, leaving the assembled devotees spellbound and emotionally moved. The attractive dance presentations choreographed to devotional music compelled the devotees present in the pandal to sway in rhythm. The entire premises echoed with thunderous applause as the audience responded enthusiastically to the performances.

Throughout the duration of Ganesh Mahotsav, a continuous series of worship rituals, aarti ceremonies, and religious programs is being maintained. The organizing committee is taking special care to ensure convenience and proper arrangements for the devotees. Security arrangements at the worship venue are also being ensured to maintain order and safety during the celebrations.

A major highlight of the festival will be the grand bhandara scheduled for September 22, which falls on a Tuesday. This massive community feast is expected to draw devotees in large numbers. The committee is completing all preparations for the bhandara and has appealed to devotees to attend in maximum numbers and partake of the prasad being offered.

The festivities have seen active participation and organization by numerous office bearers and members. Those present during the celebrations included patron Manoj Gupta, Prem Shankar, Amarish Sahu, Ashish Sahu, Dinesh Kumar, Krishna Kumar Sahu, Ravi Gupta, Hariom, Pawan Jaiswal, Pradeep Sahu, Om Prakash Tyagi, president Sandeep Soni, secretary Rishi Prakash Jaiswal, Soni, Shashwat Sahu, Vishal Sahu, Prafulla Gupta, organization secretary Raj Patwa, Uday Sahu, Rishi Sahu, administrator Prabhakar Sahu, along with other office bearers and members who have been instrumental in organizing the event.

The culmination of Ganesh Mahotsav is scheduled for September 25 with a grand procession. The idol of Ganpati Bappa will be placed in a beautifully decorated palankin and a shobha yatra will be taken out through the city. Devotees will participate in the procession chanting "Ganpati Bappa Morya, Agle Baras Tu Jaldi Aa," bidding farewell to the beloved deity. Following the procession, the Ganpati idol will be ceremonially immersed at Jhinghaghat. The committee has appealed to devotees to join the shobha yatra in large numbers to bid farewell to Ganpati Bappa and participate in this concluding ritual of the festival.
