'FRIENDS' Experience Opens in Mumbai, Bringing Iconic Set to Life

From Central Perk to Monica’s Apartment: The ‘FRIENDS’ Experience Arrives mumbai-on-july-10-11 in Mumbai

Over two decades after its final episode aired, the beloved sitcom FRIENDS continues to captivate fans across generations. Now, Mumbai residents have the chance to step into the world of the iconic show as the FRIENDS Experience opens its doors at the Jio World Garden in Bandra Kurla Complex on June 19. The immersive exhibition, launched in collaboration with District by Zomato, will remain on display until July 12, 2026.

The exhibition brings to life some of the show’s most recognisable settings and features original memorabilia, costumes, scripts, early set designs, and props. Visitors begin their journey by selecting their favourite character from the six leads—Ross, Rachel, Monica, Chandler, Joey, and Phoebe—and receive a themed wristband inspired by their choice.

Once inside, fans are transported into a world of carefully crafted installations that celebrate memorable moments from the sitcom’s 10-season run. Iconic locations, including Monica’s apartment with its distinctive purple walls, and Joey and Chandler’s apartment with its famous recliners, Hugsy, and dartboard, are recreated in detail. Visitors can also relive the hilarious ‘Pivot’ scene, complete with the show’s famous staircase.

The exhibition also highlights some of the show’s most unforgettable storylines. A dedicated display showcases all 18 pages—front and back—of Rachel’s infamous letter to Ross. Another exhibit focuses on the cultural impact of Jennifer Aniston’s ‘Rachel’ hairstyle, along with other fashion trends inspired by the show. Fans can even pose with Joey’s iconic outfit from the episode where he wears all of Chandler’s clothes.

A relationship chart mapping the friendships, romances, and connections that unfolded throughout the series offers visitors a visual snapshot of the sitcom’s many storylines. Additionally, hallways are lined with signed scripts, costumes worn by the cast, production artwork, and behind-the-scenes material, providing a deeper look into the making of the hit series.

The experience concludes with a full-scale recreation of Central Perk, the iconic coffee shop that served as the backdrop for countless conversations in the show. Complete with its signature orange couch and themed photo opportunities, this final stop promises to leave fans with a nostalgic trip down memory lane.
