Four arrested in Mirzapur for harassing female college students daily

Police in Mirzapur have arrested four young men for allegedly harassing and troubling female college students on a daily basis in the Sangamohal area. The arrests came after several female students stopped the vehicle of City Circle Officer Amit Kumar and narrated their ordeal, complaining that they were being harassed regularly near Sangamohal while returning home from college.

Taking the complaint seriously, CO City Amit Kumar immediately took cognizance of the matter and issued instructions to the Anti-Romeo team and Katra Kotwali police to take action. Following the CO City's directions, Katra Kotwali police, led by Inspector-in-charge Neeraj Pathak, swung into action and arrested four young men. The arrested youths have been identified as Suraj Yadav, Lalu Yadav, Chandresh Yadav and Vivek.

The swift action by police has created a sense of panic among those indulging in such behaviour in the area.
