21-year-old Delhi model stabbed to death by gym trainer she rejected

A 21-year-old model was brutally murdered in her rented apartment in Delhi's Tilak Nagar area on Wednesday evening, allegedly by a gym trainer who had been pursuing her for months. Muskan, a student who also worked part-time as a model, was stabbed multiple times at her second-floor residence in New Mahavir Nagar around 5:30 pm. The accused, identified as Imran, fled the scene immediately after the attack.

Neighbors heard Muskan's screams and rushed to help, finding her drenched in blood with multiple stab wounds to her abdomen and other parts of her body. She was rushed to a nearby hospital but doctors declared her dead on arrival. CCTV footage from the building captured Imran entering her apartment around the time of the murder, providing crucial evidence for investigators.

According to police and family members, Imran worked as a trainer at the same gym Muskan attended, and the two had known each other for about 18 months. Family and friends allege that Imran had been obsessively pursuing Muskan with unwanted romantic advances and pressuring her to marry him. Muskan had reportedly been trying to distance herself from him. Her brother told police he immediately suspected Imran, saying the trainer had harassed his sister before.

Delhi Police have registered a murder case and launched a manhunt for the accused. Additional DCP Abhishek Gupta confirmed that teams are scanning CCTV footage from the surrounding area and heavy police deployment has been ordered in the neighborhood following tensions after the incident. A post-mortem examination was scheduled for Thursday. Muskan was the youngest of three sisters, with one sibling living in Chandigarh. The incident has once again raised serious questions about women's safety in the national capital.
