These phones, collectively valued at approximately ₹30 lakh, have been returned to their rightful owners, bringing relief and gratitude to many.
Under the guidance of Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Aditya Langhe, the cyber team and local police worked in coordination to trace the devices. The operation was closely monitored by Additional Superintendent of Police (IPS) Rajesh Gunawat, who also serves as the nodal officer for the CEIR portal. Leveraging advanced technology and a robust surveillance strategy, the team tracked the phones across different districts and states, ensuring their safe return.
Since the introduction of the CEIR portal, Firozabad Police have recovered a total of 1,747 mobile phones, showcasing their commitment to using technology for public welfare. Residents who received their lost phones expressed heartfelt gratitude to the police for their efforts. This initiative highlights the growing importance of tech-driven policing in tackling cyber crimes and ensuring justice.
Speaking about the success, ASP Rajesh Gunawat praised the team’s dedication and emphasized the role of effective planning and inter-departmental coordination in achieving such results. Beneficiaries like J.P. Singh, who had lost his phone months ago, lauded the police for their prompt action and efficient use of resources.
