DM, SP Visit Families of Two Men Who Died of Electrocution in Shravasti

District Magistrate Annapurna Garg and Superintendent of Police Rahul Bhati met the family members of two people who died after suffering electric shocks in village Mohammadapur under the Gilola development block in Shravasti. The officials enquired about their well-being and offered condolences to the bereaved families.

Ved Prakash Pathak and Sachin Mishra had died due to electrocution in the village in recent days. Taking cognisance of the incident, the District Magistrate and the Superintendent of Police visited the families today. They consoled the grieving relatives and prayed to God to give the family members the strength to bear this unbearable sorrow and grant peace to the souls of the deceased.

During the visit, the officials directed the Executive Engineer, Electricity, who was present there, to get a survey of the incident conducted and submit a report by this evening. They also instructed the officials to fix the entire electricity system in the village.

The officials assured the family members that strict action would be ensured against any officer or employee found responsible for the incident. The assurance was given in the presence of the concerned officials and local residents.

The District Magistrate also assured the families that the district administration would provide every possible help. She said the district administration stood with the family at all times during this unbearable pain and grief. She further said that all facilities would be provided according to the rules laid down by the government.

While consoling the wife of the deceased, the District Magistrate asked her to take care of herself, the children and other family members during this time of immense grief.

Sub-Divisional Magistrate Ravendra Kumar, the Circle Officer, Executive Engineer, Electricity, Raj Narayan, and villagers were also present during the visit.
