Shravasti, August 11, 2026: District Magistrate Annapurna Garg carried out a surprise inspection of all offices located within the Collectorate premises on Friday. During the visit, she reviewed various departments, including the Information Department, District Supply Office, Central Records Office, Revenue Archives, Treasury, Land Records, Nazarat, Skill Development Mission, Additional District Magistrate’s Office, Social Welfare Department, and E-Governance, among others.

The District Magistrate emphasized the importance of maintaining cleanliness, proper drinking water facilities, and general upkeep of the campus. She issued clear instructions to ensure that cleanliness in the offices is maintained under all circumstances. Garg also stressed that government work must be executed diligently without any negligence. She warned that no officer or employee should remain absent from their office without prior notice. Any violation of this directive, she stated, would result in strict action against the concerned individual as per rules.

Additional District Magistrate (Administration/Revenue) Lalit Kumar, Sub-Divisional Magistrate Praveen Yadav, Nazarat Officer Kaushal Yadav, and other officials and staff members from various departments were present during the inspection.

This surprise visit highlights the administration’s commitment to improving efficiency and accountability in government offices. By addressing issues like cleanliness and absenteeism, the District Magistrate aims to ensure smoother functioning of the Collectorate and better service delivery to the public.
