Dentist arrested in Uttar Pradesh for sexually assaulting vulnerable patient at clinic

A dentist has been arrested in Bulandshahr district of Uttar Pradesh for allegedly sexually assaulting a mentally ill young woman who had come to his clinic for dental treatment. Police acted swiftly after the victim's father filed a complaint, registering a case and taking the accused doctor into custody.

The disturbing incident occurred on the afternoon of August 20 at a dental clinic located in the Dilli Darwaza neighborhood of Bulandshahr. According to the complaint filed with police, the victim's parents had brought their mentally unwell daughter to the clinic for dental treatment, visiting a dentist they knew and trusted. Due to their long-standing acquaintance and confidence in the doctor, the parents left their daughter at the clinic and went to the tehsil office to complete some property registration work.

When the parents returned approximately two hours later and took their daughter home, the traumatized young woman disclosed what had happened during their absence. She told her family members that the dentist had taken her to a room above the clinic and sexually assaulted her there while they were away.

Upon learning of the incident, the family immediately took the victim to Anupshahr police station and filed a written complaint. Police have registered a case under relevant sections of law based on the victim's statement and her father's complaint. The accused dentist has been arrested and further legal proceedings are underway.

The case has sent shockwaves through the local community, as it involves a breach of trust by a medical professional against a vulnerable patient. Authorities are continuing their investigation into the matter.
