Congress stages protest in Shravasti backing students, credits Rahul Gandhi's efforts

Congress workers staged a protest at the district party office in Shravasti today, expressing solidarity with students and opposing alleged injustice meted out to them. The demonstration was organized on the directions of the state leadership, with party functionaries gathering in large numbers to voice their support for student rights.

Addressing the gathering, senior Congress leader Advocate Aslam praised party leader Rahul Gandhi for his sustained efforts on behalf of students. He stated that Gandhi fought for nearly seven hours to secure justice for students, and it was only after his struggle that Delhi Police was compelled to register an FIR in the students' case. Aslam emphasized that the Congress party would continue to fight with full strength for the rights of students and youth across the country.

District Congress vice-president Chandrapal Singh Yadav said the party under Gandhi's leadership is fighting on the streets against injustice. He asserted that any attempt to suppress the voice of students is not appropriate for a democracy and that the Congress would stand firmly against such actions.

District secretary Ahmad criticized the BJP government, saying it must listen to the voices of students. He reiterated that Congress workers stand firmly with the students and will continue this fight for justice in the days ahead.

A large number of Congress workers and office-bearers, including Bhishm Kumar Gupta, participated in the protest. All present raised strong slogans demanding justice and protection of student rights, making it clear that the party views student welfare as a priority issue and will not back down from its commitment to fighting what it terms as authoritarian measures against young voices.
