Congress MLA Arif Khan Visits Shravasti Under ‘Sangathan Srijan Abhiyan’

Shravasti: Congress MLA Arif Khan visited Shravasti today as part of the party’s ‘Sangathan Srijan Abhiyan,’ aimed at strengthening the organization at the grassroots level. A press conference and meeting were held at the District Congress Committee office, attended by senior leaders, including All India Congress Committee in-charge Rajesh Kali, Pradesh Congress in-charge Rajendra Tripathi, District Congress Committee President Vidyamani Tripathi, and other prominent members.

Addressing the press, Arif Khan stated that he was in Shravasti to convey Rahul Gandhi’s message regarding the campaign. He emphasized that the initiative would focus on fortifying the party’s structure through district-level meetings, followed by block-level engagements. The campaign also aims to involve civil society members, lawyers, bar council representatives, and the public to gather their suggestions and feedback.

During the meeting, Khan interacted with party workers and sought their inputs to strengthen the organization. He announced that based on suggestions collected from various sections, a panel of six names would be prepared for the selection of the District Congress President. This panel will be submitted to the All India Congress Committee on August 16.

Highlighting the campaign’s vision, Khan said the goal is to ensure active participation of party workers and build a robust organization that reflects the collective opinions of all stakeholders. Leaders and workers present at the event pledged to make the campaign a success and strengthen the Congress network down to the booth level.

The ‘Sangathan Srijan Abhiyan’ is seen as a significant effort by the Congress party to rejuvenate its organizational structure and connect with people at the grassroots, especially in Uttar Pradesh, where the party has been working to regain its footing.
