Congress files complaint over posters alleging Amethi MP misused development funds

Congress leaders in Amethi have filed a police complaint over viral posters alleging misuse of development funds by local MP Kishori Lal Sharma, claiming the campaign is a deliberate attempt to tarnish the party's image and the parliamentarian's reputation. The complaint was lodged at Gauriganj police station by Congress functionaries Devmani Tripathi and Avneesh Kumar Mishra.

The complainants have alleged that certain individuals are circulating pamphlets containing false and unnecessary accusations regarding the MP's development fund. According to the complaint, these viral posters are being spread with the intent to defame Kishori Lal Sharma and damage his public standing through inappropriate and baseless claims about his handling of the MP Local Area Development Scheme funds.

The Congress leaders have described Sharma as a parliamentarian with a clean image and stated that attempts to malign his reputation amount to an insult to the entire parliamentary constituency. They have demanded police action against those responsible for creating and circulating the controversial material. The complaint characterizes the poster campaign as politically motivated and designed to spread misinformation about the MP's work in the constituency.
