Chandraksekhar Azad warns against AI-generated deepfake videos in politics ahead of elections

Azad Samaj Party (Kanshiram) national president and Nagina MP Chandraksekhar Azad reached Pratapgarh on Tuesday night at around 10:30 pm. Party workers accorded him a rousing welcome.

During his interaction with the media, he openly reacted to the ongoing video war and allegations and counter-allegations between the Samajwadi Party and the Bharatiya Janata Party. Chandraksekhar Azad said that earlier there used to be dignity and ethics in politics, but now its level is gradually declining. He alleged that videos are being prepared using Artificial Intelligence (AI) with the objective of tarnishing the image of leaders and people.

He said that such videos are coming out on social media in which someone is being shown making others consume ganja or being called a thief. He said that the BJP's IT cell is also not blameless. According to him, when such a thing starts from one side, a response is also given from the other side.

Terming this kind of politics as wrong, Chandraksekhar Azad said that respect should be maintained between political parties and leaders. He said that instead of pulling each other down through videos and social media, leaders should focus on people's issues.

He said that farmers, youth, women and traders are troubled, but instead of discussing their real issues, political parties are engaged in commenting on each other and making videos.

On the question of police announcing a reward of 25 thousand rupees on Samajwadi Party's Lohia Vahini national spokesperson Sandeep Vishwakarma, Chandraksekhar Azad said that a person committing a crime, whichever political party he is associated with, should be punished according to law. He said that even if any member of Azad Samaj Party commits a crime, he will not support him. However, he accused the government of delivering justice based on caste and religion and said that in Uttar Pradesh, everyone should be treated equally and justly, rising above caste and religion.
