Students who appeared for the CBSE Class 10 second board examinations are eagerly awaiting updates on their results. While some reports suggest that the results may be announced by the end of June, the Central Board of Secondary controversy" class="nd-inline-link">Education (CBSE) has not officially confirmed any specific date or time. This delay has sparked widespread discussions among students and parents, particularly as this marks the first year of CBSE's newly introduced two-board-exam system.

The second examination cycle was conducted from May 15 to May 21, 2026, with over 6 lakh students participating. This optional exam was introduced as part of CBSE's revised assessment system, aimed at offering students an additional opportunity to either improve their scores or clear subjects in which they did not qualify during the compulsory February board examinations held earlier in the year.

Under this new format, students can appear for up to three subjects during the second phase, and the board allows them to retain the better score between the two examinations. Of the participants, more than 5 lakh students reportedly registered under the improvement category, while thousands of others took compartment exams.

Once the results are declared, students will be able to access their provisional marksheets online. They are advised to regularly check CBSE's official result portals for updates.
