Bus Used By Rewa Collector Seized Over Transport Rule Violations

In Rewa district, the bus by which Collector Narendra Kumar Suryavanshi reached the Chief Minister’s Jan Vishwas programme was itself found to have several shortcomings and irregularities linked to transport rules. The issue came to light during the programme held in Gudh, where the Collector was seen in action mode after noticing problems in the vehicle.

Taking the matter seriously, Collector Narendra Kumar Suryavanshi immediately directed that the bus be checked. Following his instructions, a team from the Transport Department inspected the bus at the spot. During the inspection, officials examined the bus documents as well as points related to the prescribed standards.

After violations of rules were found in the inspection, the RTO took action and seized the bus. Along with this, the fitness certificate of the bus was also cancelled. The action was taken on the directions of the Collector after irregularities were found.

According to the information, Collector Narendra Kumar Suryavanshi had reached Gudh by bus to attend the Chief Minister’s Jan Vishwas programme. After arriving at the programme venue, he noticed some shortcomings in the bus. He then directed the concerned officials to get the bus inspected.

As soon as the instructions were received, the Transport Department team began the inspection. The team checked the documents of the bus and also looked into whether the vehicle was meeting the required standards. During this process, irregularities and violations of rules came to the fore.

Following this, the RTO acted on the findings and seized the bus. The bus’s fitness certificate was also cancelled. Officials linked this action to the enforcement of transport rules and compliance with vehicle-related requirements.

Collector Narendra Kumar Suryavanshi also gave clear instructions to officials that safety standards and necessary documents in passenger vehicles should not be ignored. The direction was given in the context of passenger vehicle checks and the need to ensure that vehicles comply with the prescribed norms.

The notable aspect of the entire matter was that the bus in which the district Collector himself had reached the programme venue was the same bus in which shortcomings were found. After noticing the lapses, he ordered action. The action was taken in the Collector’s presence.

The episode also sent a message to officials that rules are required to be followed equally for all vehicles. The matter has been seen as a sign of strictness regarding the checking of passenger vehicles and compliance with safety standards.
