Bhatti Vikramarka Unveils Minority Welfare and Land Protection Plans

Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka on Thursday reaffirmed the state government's commitment to the welfare of minorities, focusing on their social, economic, and educational development. During a review meeting at the secretariat, he directed officials to take strict legal measures to protect waqf and other minority properties from encroachment.

Addressing the issue of burial grounds, Bhatti instructed district collectors to identify and allocate land in areas with significant Muslim populations, particularly in district and division headquarters. He also emphasized the need for constructing compound walls around existing graveyards to ensure their protection. “A comprehensive action plan must be prepared immediately to address these concerns,” he told officials.

The meeting also highlighted plans to celebrate the golden jubilee of the Urdu Academy with grandeur. Bhatti announced that ‘mushairas,’ showcasing the richness of Urdu culture, would be organized not just in Hyderabad but across all district headquarters. He directed officials to ensure adequate arrangements for the main event at LB Stadium in Hyderabad.

These initiatives are part of the government's broader efforts to address minority welfare and safeguard their cultural and property rights. By focusing on land protection and cultural promotion, the state aims to foster inclusivity and ensure the well-being of minority communities.
