Banda school celebrates 80th Independence Day with cultural programs and flag hoisting

The 80th Independence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at S.M. Convent School in Duredi, Banda. Senior BJP leader Shyam Mohan Dhuria attended the event as the chief guest, accompanied by his team, and led the flag-hoisting ceremony.

Upon his arrival, Dhuria was warmly welcomed by school manager Sanjay Mishra and the staff, who greeted him with garlands. Following a prayer to Goddess Saraswati, the chief guest hoisted the national flag in the school premises, accompanied by the singing of the national anthem. The atmosphere was charged with patriotism as students and parents chanted slogans like "Bharat Mata ki Jai" and "Vande Mataram."

The school organized a series of cultural programs to mark the occasion. Students paid tribute to the nation’s martyrs through patriotic songs, dances, skits, and speeches. Their performances were widely appreciated by the audience, which included teachers, parents, and several dignitaries.

Addressing the gathering, Shyam Mohan Dhuria emphasized the importance of Independence Day as a reminder of patriotism, unity, and sacrifice. He encouraged the students to contribute to the nation’s development and uphold moral values as they move forward in life.
