Bahraich's Brahmanipura locality celebrates 36 years of revered Ganesh tradition

Bahraich has witnessed grand celebrations of the Ganesh festival, with devotees thronging in large numbers to offer prayers and seek blessings.

The city's Brahmanipura locality is home to the oldest and most revered Ganesh idol installation. The first idol at this site was installed in 1988 by Radha Raman Yagyasaini, a worker of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad, marking the beginning of a decades-long tradition that continues to draw crowds today.

Hundreds of devotees are participating in the morning and evening aarti ceremonies. The pandal has become the center of attraction owing to its grand decorations, with hundreds of devotees queuing up for darshan throughout the day.

A grand procession will be taken out through the city on 25 September, accompanied by traditional music and fanfare, bringing the festival celebrations to a vibrant close.
