Bahraich police counseling center reconciles two families, prevents domestic breakup

The Family Counseling Center at Bahraich Police headquarters has successfully reconciled two families locked in domestic disputes, preventing them from breaking apart. The initiative was undertaken under the guidance of Superintendent of Police Vishwajeet Srivastava as part of ongoing efforts to preserve social relationships in the district.

Applications seeking reconciliation in matters of mutual family disputes were submitted before the Superintendent of Police, who directed the officer in charge of the Family Counseling Center to resolve the issues. The center's team listened to the complaints of the petitioners in detail, established contact with the second party, and called both sides to the police office for counseling sessions.

After hearing both parties, the counselors worked to mediate between the families and help them understand each other's perspectives. As a result of these efforts, both parties agreed not to engage in quarrels in the future and committed to fulfilling their family duties while living together happily. The counseling team advised both families to maintain harmony with each other and discharge their familial responsibilities properly.

The reconciliation team comprised Deputy Inspector Ramashankar Mishra, Head Constable Sangeeta Yadav, and Constables Ananya Singh, Girjavati Yadav, Chhaya Dwivedi, Savita Mishra, and Nishi Trivedi. The Family Counseling Center operates from the police headquarters and serves as a platform for resolving domestic conflicts before they escalate into legal battles or result in family breakdowns.

This initiative reflects the Bahraich Police's proactive approach to community welfare, recognizing that many family disputes can be resolved through dialogue and counseling rather than punitive measures. The center continues to receive applications from families seeking mediation services.
