Bahraich Police Arrest Wanted Accused Carrying Rs 25,000 Reward

A wanted criminal carrying a reward of Rs 25,000 was arrested in Bahraich on 25.10.2026, police said. The accused has been identified as Armaan alias Nache, son of Sirajuddin, aged about 22 years, and a resident of Kajipura Uttari under Kotwali Nagar police station in Bahraich district.

The action was taken by Ramgaon police station in Bahraich district. The police said the operation was carried out in compliance with directions issued by the Bahraich Superintendent of Police for the arrest of previously wanted accused persons and warrant holders.

The operation was conducted under the direction of the Additional Superintendent of Police (Rural) and the Circle Officer, Mahsi. It was led by Station House Officer Shri Divakar Tiwari.

Sub-Inspector Hemant Kumar Singh, along with constables Sonu Yadav and Krishna Kumar Chaudhary, acted on information provided by a confidential informer. The police took Armaan alias Nache into custody from near the roadside at the turn on the road leading towards Tamachpur from Nanpara Cancerganj bypass road.

The accused was taken into police custody at about 14.50 hours on 25.10.2026. Police records show that Case Crime No. 257/26 had earlier been registered at the local police station under Sections 304(2)/317(4) of the BNS.

According to the police, Armaan alias Nache is a criminal carrying a reward of Rs 25,000 in connection with the above case. The police said that he had been wanted for a considerable period and was being searched for earlier.

The police statement said that the orders and directions of the Human Rights Commission and the Supreme Court were followed at the time of the accused’s arrest. After his arrest, Armaan alias Nache was sent before the concerned court for further legal proceedings.

The accused’s name and address were recorded as Armaan alias Nache, son of Sirajuddin, aged about 22 years, resident of Kajipura Uttari, Kotwali Nagar police station, Bahraich district.

The criminal history listed by the police includes Case Crime No. 222/23 under Sections 120-B, 41, 411, 413, 419, 420, 467, 468 and 471 at Dargah Sharif police station, Bahraich district. It also includes Case Crime No. 355/23 under Section 3(1) of the Goonda Act at Dargah Sharif police station, Bahraich district.
